Montreal Protocol
The Montreal Protocol is a plan introduced to try and reduce the amount of ozone depleting substances in our atmosphere and help protect the earth's ozone layer. The original protocol was agreed upon on September 16th 1987.
The protocol contains policies that help respond quickly to newly found research, these policies are then automatically applicable to all countries that participated in the protocol. Along with these adjustments members of the protocol meet annually to make decisions.
