Air Pollutants
Air pollutants are materials that are harmful to the earth's atmosphere and cause air pollution.
The EPA or Environmental Protection Agency regulates some of these pollutants, because they have negative health impacts. Some of these pollutants are:
-Ozone: is harmful to breath in especially on hot summer days, some health impacts ozone has are
-Nitrogen Oxides: Group of Highly reactive gasses, one major one being Nitrogen Dioxide
-Sulfur Dioxide: One of a group of highly reactive gasses of Sulfur, originate from industrial processes.

- Reduces the Oxygen delivery to the blood system which could cause death
- Also causes heart and respiratory problems.
-Nitrogen Oxides: Group of Highly reactive gasses, one major one being Nitrogen Dioxide
- Leads to Inflammation of the lungs
- Could aggravate heart defects and cause heart attack
-Sulfur Dioxide: One of a group of highly reactive gasses of Sulfur, originate from industrial processes.
- Exposure can lead to asthma attacks in asthmatics
- Other Respiratory issues
- Can adversely affect the immune system, kidney function and reproductive and developmental systems.
